Ensuring access to fresh, nutritious food for all community members
At CDV Cares, we believe that access to fresh, nutritious food is a fundamental right. Our Local Food Security initiative addresses hunger and nutrition by creating sustainable food systems within communities, connecting local producers with those in need, and ensuring that vulnerable populations have reliable access to healthy meals.

Local Farmer Partnerships
In an area previously classified as a food desert, our Eastside Community Garden now produces over 2,000 pounds of fresh produce annually. The garden has become a community hub, with 45 families maintaining plots and sharing harvests with elderly neighbors.
Our partnership with 10 local farms now supplies fresh produce to 8 community centers year-round. This program has increased vegetable consumption among center visitors by 40% while providing stable income to small-scale farmers.
Last year, our Holiday Meal Initiative provided 5,000 meal kits to families during school breaks. Follow-up surveys showed that 95% of families reported reduced stress about feeding their children during these periods.
Join our mission to ensure everyone in our community has access to fresh, nutritious food. Your support makes a direct impact on families facing food insecurity.
