Success Stories

New Beginnings Shelter Renovation

In 2024, we completed a comprehensive renovation of the New Beginnings Women's Shelter, transforming an aging facility into a modern, welcoming space. The project included:

  • Complete kitchen renovation to support nutritional programs
  • Creation of a children's playroom with educational materials
  • Upgraded security systems to ensure resident safety
  • New computer lab for job searching and educational pursuits

The renovation has allowed the shelter to increase capacity by 40% and provide enhanced services to women and children in crisis.

Eastside Elementary Library Project

When we learned that Eastside Elementary School had a library with fewer than 100 books for over 500 students, we launched a targeted campaign that:

  • Collected over 2,000 new and gently used books
  • Provided comfortable reading furniture and shelving
  • Trained parent volunteers to manage the expanded library
  • Established a sustainable book donation program

Reading scores at the school have improved by 22% since the library expansion, and student engagement has significantly increased.
